Just 7 km from village of Skrad there are two magical natural protected areas: Vražji prolaz (Devill’s Passage) and Zeleni vir.
Zeleni vir a stunning 70 meter high cliff formed between two wooded hillsides and two creeks collapse from the top of the rock.
In the mountainous region of Gorski Kotar lies an 800-metre-long canyon called Vražji Prolaz (Devil’s Pass) created by the roaring stream Jasle. This gorge measuring 2 metres wide and 100 metres deep is considered by many as the most beautiful site in Croatia.
Due to its special beauty and geological value, the area was declared a special geomorphological reserve in 1962 with an area of 200 ha.
