How to Secure Your Booking! After Purchasing

 

Below you will find the steps you will receive by email once purchased to complete a booking and and how to pay for your booking.

 

  • Pay your Booking Fee or Full Balance today to secure your booking!
  • Company bank details sent in confirmation email after booking
  • If booking more than one course / tour / boat / holiday /accommodation or taxi service you may receive separate confirmation emails for each. Any confusion drop us an email or send us a WhatsApp message
  • Print your booking ticket/s or add it to your mobile phone
  • Bring tickets with you to your first booking / activity

 

Booking & Payment Terms

 

1. How To Secure Your Booking?

 

  • The “Booking Fee” is required to be paid on the same day you make your online booking.
  • Bookings Over €100 - Booking fee amount: €100 is required to be paid same day (Non-Refundable) Payment Link Below
  • Bookings Less than €100 – Full Payment Required – A payment Link will be sent when accepted.
  • The Booking fee is deducted from your booking total. (It is not extra)
  • Before booking flights and travel please wait up to 24 hours for confirmation that your booking fee has been received.

3. When / How Do I Pay The Remaining Balance?:

 

- Pay By: Bank Transfer

 

  1. Bookings Within 90 days of start date - full payment to be completed via Bank Transfer within 5 days.
  2. Bookings Over 90 days of start date – Minimum deposit of 35% within 5 days + remaining balance to be paid no later than 90 days prior to joining

 

- Pay By: Credit or Debit Card:

 

  1. Bookings over €250 incur an extra 4% admin charge. This will be added to your booking total in the payment link once you request it from us.

RYA Courses – Standard – Terms & Conditions 

Cancellation

Yacht Sail Training reserves the right to cancel any course or activity. so far we have not had to cancel any courses, we understand this is stressful when you are travelling to another country so we do our upmost to avoid cancellations on our side. Where this is necessary a proportional refund will be made or an alternative course or activity offered. No additional liability for compensation or expenses will be accepted by the School.

Reserved places that are cancelled in writing by a student more than 90 days prior to the starting date will result in the booking fee payment being forfeit.

Cancellations from students within 90 days of the starting date will result in the full fee being forfeit but in either case it may be possible to claim under your personal or holiday insurance.

In the event that any activity or course has to be commenced or terminated at any other place or time than that indicated in the programme or joining instructions it will be the students responsibility to arrange and pay for any accommodation or travel costs involved.

 

Changing Dates of Your Booking

Date changes are not allowed within 30 days of your course commencement date. We can try and resell your reserved space onboard and if successful we will refund you the price of the amount paid by the resold ticket (-booking fees) Sadly at late notice we can not guarantee that we can resell your booked space / spaces. As we honour your space onboard at the time of booking any last minute cancellations can mean we have half full courses or boats. Please consider Holiday insurance to cover these eventualities on your part. 

Date changes between 90 days and 30 days of course commencement are subject to a €100 charge per person. and are at the discretion of Embark.d.o.o / Yacht Sail Training.

Date changes more than 90 days are normally allowed if there are similarly priced alternative dates available.

Note: If we are able to accommodate a date change you as the client are responsible for paying any difference in price for a more higher priced date. No refunds will be given if you choose a lower price course date.

To summarise: All date changes – We would love to be able to change dates all the time for students and guests however sadly if we do, we are turning away other students that want the dates you booked. When you book we honour your spaces onboard (limited spaces) for the course you chose to book.

We will try and accommodate date changes, but if we do not have any students waiting for a date we can not guarantee changes can be accommodated. 

 

Liability

Yacht Sail Training, its servants, agents, instructors, sailing masters, skippers, hostesses, drivers and property rentals do not accept any responsibility for any loss damage or injury suffered by any persons and/or their property arising out of or during the course of their activities whilst training, instructing or otherwise unless such loss or damage was caused by or resulted from negligence.

 

Application

You will have the best chance of reserving your first choice of dates if you e-mail or book your requirements now! Such reservations need to be confirmed with a completed booking form, “Important information – student/guest information” form completed out and deposit within 5 days. Any balance of fee is due 90 days before your course / activity / holiday / booking starts.

 

The Skipper / Instructor

He, or she, will have command of the yacht at all times and will make every endeavour to look after the safety of all onboard. The Skipper will take whatever action deemed necessary in this respect e.g. adverse weather involving a change of port or final destination; a client may be placed ashore if instructions are not followed.

 

Sea Miles

No guarantee can be made that sea miles will be achieved and clients should consider attaining any of the RYA’s requirements beforehand.

Pre-Requisites & Action Plans

it is the students responsibility to make sure they meet the pre-requisites for the course they are booking. It is often very quickly evident if a student does not meet or does not have the required level of training for a course and does not meet the required pre-requisites for courses.

Your Instructor may ask for confirmation that you do meet them when you join your course. 

Action plans may be given if a student does not meet the pre-requisites for a course or does not engage during the course. This is not a case of failing a course, but will detail what a student is required to complete to achiever the qualification. Sadly we are limited to time onboard and there are often several students who will already meet the pre-requisites who want to progress with there own training. If you are unsure please contact us before booking! When you submit your crew list information you will be required to confirm you meet the pre-requisites.

RYA Courses – Covid – Terms & Conditions

 

March 2021 Onwards: 

You have an absolute right to cancel your booking, without providing a reason, and receive a full refund at any time up until 90 days prior to your course / experience start-date.

By €100 booking you agree and understand the the initial Booking fee will not be refunded under any conditions. 

Cancellation or refund requests received within the 90-day period may also be accommodated, if we can replace your booking with another (from our waiting list, for example) but we are not obliged to do this.

This is because your cancellation at such short-notice may make it financially unviable, or impractical, to run a course-date without your booking – meaning that we could have to cancel on the other customers already booked, and let them down too.

We think that 90-days is generally enough time for us to find another customer to replace your booking, but if you need to cancel or change dates, please try and let us know as early as possible so that we can start to find another customer to take your space. 

 

COVID-19 Cancellation’s and Rebooking:

If up to 14 days prior to an individual course or private yacht training booking: Croatia closes borders or Client / students country closes there borders OR quarantine is obligatory upon return from Croatia regardless of COVID-19 test. 

Students who have booked an individual course or private yacht training are entitled to:

• rebook same course in 2023 or 2024 that is priced similarly (subject to availability)* or
• rebook to a different course of equivalent price in different period in 2023 or 2024 (subject to availability)* or
• receive a credit note (voucher) valid for season 2023 or 2024. 

For Private Yacht / Catamaran Training If at the time of booking, the country the client is travelling from already has quarantine restrictions in place including being a amber or red list country, cancellations will not be accepted due to quarantine restrictions on return to client’s home country.

Please make your own research regarding covid travel restrictions prior to making payment.

We can however do our best to try and re-sell the package and the yacht on to another client. However, last minute discounts of up-to 45% may be applied to the new sale price in order to achieve a re-booking for the yacht with an alternative client.

There is no guarantee we will be able to re-book.

The obligation of Covid 19 test before or after the trip, obligated quarantine upon return, disruptions related to transportation difficulties, Government recommendations, Company travel restrictions or similar are not reasons for rescheduling.

This policy applies to new reservations made for the season 2022 and 2023 (this policy is not applicable to the reservations that have already been transferred from the season 2020 or 2021).

If for any reason the Client is not able to realise the charter (the Client who has already used the voucher or has rescheduled the charter from 2020, 2021 or 2022) it is possible to reschedule the charter in the season 2024 by paying a fixed rebooking fee of 450,00 € (non-refundable), 21 days before the departure date at the latest.

The receipt of the rebooking fee confirms the cancellation of existing booking and rescheduling for the season 2024.

Fixed rebooking fee is charged as a separate payment and can-not be charged from a voucher.

 

RE-BOOKING

Is allowed up to 90 days prior to the individual course or private yacht training, Students / clients can choose one of these options:

• change individual course or private yacht training period with no extra charge for the same season*

• change the individual course or private yacht training to a different course in the same season*

*if re-booked course or private yacht training or week  is higher in price the difference must be made up but if the rebooked course has a lower price than what was originally booked, original price will be due; no refunds will be made.

 

Cancellation

Cancel before 120 days of booking for a full refund

Cancellation after 120 days but before 90 days of booking commencement receive a 60% refund

Cancellation after 90 days but before 30 days of booking receive 30% refund

Cancellation within 30 days of course start date 0% refund allowed. (Unless covid restrictions are applied above) 

Cancellation is allowed with a full refund up until 120 days prior to the course start date. 

(P.S. – Often companies only offer limited refunds if you cancel your booking – at any time!) 

 

Re-Booking for a second year.

If for any reason the Client is not able to realise the charter (the Client who has already used the voucher or has rescheduled the charter from 2020 or 2021) it is possible to reschedule the charter in the season 2023 by paying a fixed rebooking fee of 450,00 € (non refundable).

Mainland Yacht Embarkation / Bookings - Terms & Conditions

 

Terms and Conditions are generally the same as Standard / RYA Course Terms & Conditions – Except the following: 

Private Skills Training Embarking on Mainland Ports. 

See extra Terms & Conditions inline with specific charter boat terms & conditions that your training will be onboard.

Clients booking yachts / training from Mainland ports (generally Saturday to Saturday) will be required to pay Security Deposits, Damage waivers in the office on meeting your instructor in the marina. 

Yacht Expenses

All yacht expenses are covered by client. That include and are not limited to: Fuel, Provisions, Water, Mooring fees, Tourist Tax, Damage waivers, Security Deposits, ISUP Security Deposits etc.. 

Cancellations will be inline with the charter agencies terms as we use 3rd party yachts from the mainlands we are not Abel to be as flexible with cancellations – please keep this in mind when booking. 

If you believe you may wish to cancel last minute then we advise you take out extra holiday insurance to cover your own eventualities. 

General cancellation terms: 

Cancellation fees are applicable for different periods before departure:

  • 120 days or more: 30% of the total cost is forfeited
  • 90 – 120 days: 60% of the total cost is forfeited
  • Within 90 days: 100% of the total cost is forfeited and not returned to the client. 

Transfer payments are non-refundable due to high expenses incurred.

Tours & Transfers - Terms & Conditions

 

1. Booking Trips
Clients may reserve our services through Embark d.o.o’s office, by phone, or through authorized agents or brokers.

2. Payment Methods
Payments can be made via bank wire from abroad, online through our web shop/PayPal, or with Visa cards.

3. Payment Options
Full payment for excursions and transfers can be made through authorised agents, Charter representatives, or online. Clients can also pay 100% on the day of reservation but payment must be completed before a boat is allocated. Please note that prices are subject to change based on currency exchange rates.

4. Payment Information Security
Credit card information is not stored on our website and is inaccessible to unauthorized individuals.

5. Credit Card Payment Security and Currency
Clients can use MasterCard®, Maestro®, Visa®, American Express®, or Diners® for online reservations. Charges are immediately processed in Euros by Embark d.o.o.

6. Travel Documents
Upon purchase or booking confirmation, Embark d.o.o sends a voucher to the client, which must be presented in print or electronic form before using the reserved service. The voucher serves as the official document for the tour when purchased through points of sale.

7. Tour Changes or Cancellations by Embark d.o.o
Embark d.o.o reserves the right to modify booked tours or transfers due to adverse weather conditions or other circumstances that may jeopardize travelers’ safety. The decision rests with the captain, and all involved parties must consent to changes. Embark d.o.o may cancel reservations made within 24 hours of departure without extensive explanation if needed.

If attractions are closed before or during the tour due to weather or other reasons, Embark d.o.o is not responsible.

8. Cancellation Policy
Clients can cancel services, but refunds are subject to specific conditions. If a client cancels within 48 hours of the embarkation start, no refund is provided. Failure to appear on the departure day without prior notice results in no refund.

Cancellation fees are applicable for different periods before departure:
– 30-15 days: 50% of the total cost
– 14-3 days: 60% of the total cost
– 2-0 days: 100% of the total cost for Private Boat Tours Split
Transfer payments are non-refundable due to high expenses incurred.

9. Service Usage and Voucher Collection
The voucher acts as confirmation and a purchase ticket for the specified service or product. It is presented to the agency representative for boarding or utilizing the service. The voucher can be used only once.

Reissuing of vouchers due to loss is subject to Terms and Conditions upon the client’s request, requiring communication with Embark d.o.o.

Bareboat Charter - Terms & Conditions

 

The following terms and conditions, subject to periodic revisions, govern all services made available online by Embark d.o.o. (referred to as the Charter Provider) directly or indirectly to our esteemed clients (referred to as Clients). By accessing, browsing, and utilizing our website www.YachtSailTraining.com (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “website”) or completing a reservation, you acknowledge, comprehend, and consent to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Privacy Policy
We highly value your privacy and trust. To ensure optimal service provision, we have implemented stringent business systems and procedures aimed at safeguarding and preserving all personal information. Access to personal data is restricted solely to authorized personnel for business-related purposes.
– Clients agree to share personal data and information to fulfill the Charter Provider’s rental conditions, exclusively used for rental documentation.
– Clients reserve the right to request a personal data review by contacting the Charter Provider at info@YachtSailTraining.com.

Cancellation Policy
Prior to confirming your reservation, we strongly advise a comprehensive review of the cancellation, (pre)payment, and no-show policy.
– Each reservation necessitates a specific down payment, the exact amount communicated to the Client via email for booking confirmation.
– Payment confirmation binds the Client to all terms, conditions, and relevant cancellation and no-show policies without exceptions.
– Late payments, incorrect banking details, invalid credit/debit cards, or insufficient funds do not entitle refunds unless explicitly permitted by the Charter Provider.
– All rates or special offers are non-cancelable and non-modifiable upon payment, deemed final, irrevocable, non-refundable, and non-creditable.
– No refunds for no-shows or early departures.
– The cancellation policy applies universally, encompassing expected or unexpected circumstances, except when special offers differing from these terms are exclusively available on our official website.
– In all other scenarios, the Charter Provider retains the right to withhold all previously made payments by the Client as per the stated cancellation policy.

Insurance and Deposit
– Passenger insurance applies to the vessel’s certified maximum capacity, exceeding which results in forfeiture of the security deposit.
– Prior to boarding, the Client must submit a safety deposit, refundable upon the vessel’s return in its original condition.
– Damages or equipment discrepancies will be assessed and deducted from the deposit.
– Promptly report significant vessel damage to the Charter Provider and the Harbor Master’s office for procedural protection.
