Milna has limited ferries to and from Split and Dubrovinik which can be challenging but its not a huge obstacle. <br /> Our instructor Rob was very forthright and direct in his style which personally suited me and my learning style. <br /> Overall not a single complaint and only positive thoughts about the whole course and the expereince.”

“Embarkation and briefs were quite long for the first day, I think Marcus got us going alot quicker in the. Yakov was a good instructor but I though Marcus was a bit more focused in the second week. Yakov's route was fine and Stari Grad was nice. But Marcus took us to nicer places like Kut and Komiza on Vis while keeping costs down by using mooring buoys. I think Yakov's route was maybe compromised by having to go to Trogir for the jib mend. Also the boat was nice but was feeling its age and the end of the season with a bunch of small issues cropping up with the tear in the jib, the furling main issues and the port nav light being the more important ones. However overall it did not impact enjoyment and myself and Amy really enjoyed our training and holiday. Rated the home port a bit lower as it is a bit of a trek to get to either by the infrequent passenger ferry or by the more costly regular ferry and taxi combo but otherwise it is a nice place and I get why a small operation would base there rather than on the mainland. Thanks for a great holiday and for the training and qualifications we really had a great time.”

When the day plan has a period of time where the boat is likely to be in low wind / under motor, this time could be used for theory / skills practise rather than in the port before we have departed.”

“Skipper excellent, very patient, good story teller.<br /> Repeating as necessary for understanding sailing.<br /> I did not like the luck of dedicated time to swim in beautiful beaches or spots in the islands, it could be combined the visiting nice spots at lunch time. I also would like to have marinas in nice towns, which it could be booked well in advance, Hvar town, Trogir.... Because in the evenings for dinner it's is nice to visit new places as this is also our holidays.<br /> Cooking for breakfast, lunch cooking could be avoided, simple cereals, cakes, fruit for lunch, ans sandwiches, salad and fruit for lunch is enough. I don't like to cook inside for a lot of people and less to do the washing with 1000 pots when on holidays.<br /> Otherwise the practical course is fantastic, only not to waste time reviewing theory when we already passed theory test for this.”
