Bay Biscay Delivery to Spain

Crossing one of the roughest seas. The Bay of Biscay know for its high seas and large underwater shelf that can make sailing memorable.

Exciting Sailing for some of the crew on a delivery from Portsmouth to Portugal on a Benneteu Oceanis 54ds – 6 x Crew travelling in luxury.

The task in hand was a to deliver a Benneteu Oceanis 54ds from Newcastle Upon Tyne to Vilamoura in Portugal.

The trip would be worked in a few parts, initially setting off from Newcastle to Southampton and then from southampton to A.Coruna in Spain.

The crew involved were all reasonably sea capable but some not as experienced as others. It was going to be an adventure and it was more than likely not going to be the calmest of seas across the infamous Bay of Biscay.

Onboard was a mix of professors, property developers, entrepreneurs and retired all male crew on this occasion.
